Foam supports an arch until it doesn't. Every insole made of foam softens under body weight — a little more each week — until the shape you paid for is gone and the ache is back. That's the ceiling on what a standard insole can do.

Valani Elevate Reserve raises that ceiling. A full-length carbon fiber plate runs the length of the footbed and does not compress. Where a foam arch gives way by mid-shift, this one holds on day one and on day two hundred. Poron cushioning sits on top of the plate, so the support is rigid underneath and comfortable against the foot.

Two plate thicknesses

4mm — firm support with a little flex through the step. The right pick for most people, and the one to choose if you've never worn a rigid insole before.

8mm — maximum rigidity, minimal flex. For severe arch collapse, heavier body weight, or anyone who has worn through firm insoles before.

Who it's for

Getting used to it

A rigid plate feels different at first. Most people wear it a few hours a day for the first week and build up from there. If it feels like too much support, the 4mm plate is the gentler option.
